Guitar Lessons with Paul – Rock, Metal, Acoustic & Electric

If you want guitar lessons that focus on real playing, real bands, and real music, you’re in the right place. I teach acoustic and electric guitar, with a strong focus on rock and metal, and lessons are always shaped around what you want to play.

I currently teach Thursday and Friday evenings only.

 

Electric Guitar – Rock & Metal Focus

 

Electric guitar is where my background really sits. I’ve played in original bands including Spires, Nailed, and Sermon of Hypocrisy, as well as a range of cover bands, so lessons are grounded in real gigging and band experience.

 

I also have 15 years of teaching experience, including running group guitar lessons for Dawsons Music in Stockport, so whether you’re learning one-to-one or building confidence to play with others, you’re in safe hands.

 

In lessons we can work on:

• Heavy riffs and tight rhythm playing

• Power chords, palm muting and picking control

• Scales, lead playing and solo techniques

• Timing, tone, amps and pedals

 

Whether you’re into classic rock, modern metal, or anything in between, we’ll keep things practical, focused, and enjoyable.

 

Acoustic Guitar

 

Acoustic guitar plays a big role in building solid foundations. In lessons we can cover:

• Chords and smooth changes

• Strumming and rhythm

• Fingerstyle basics

• Playing and writing songs

 

Acoustic work really helps with timing, control and musical feel — all of which feeds straight back into your electric playing.
